I promise to be the best ESC president I can possibly be.

My entire platform can be summed up in one word: engagement.

I will engage with the Education Students' Council, the Association (that's you!),  and the rest of the Faculty of Education in thought and in discourse about improving student success and satisfaction during and after our time at our Faculty.

I will engage with the Faculty of Education on two levels: internally within the entire Faculty of Education including within the Education Students' Council itself, and externally with the USC and the City of London.

I will engage with these entities by utilizing my knowledge and passion for marketing, event planning, policy writing, Robert's Rules of Order (Newly Revised), and my overall love of teaching, learning, and effective dialogue.

Platform planks...

  • I will continue to build a stronger, more vibrant, social, professional, and intellectual community at Western's Faculty of Education through an empowered Students Teaching Students.

  • I will facilitate the creation and distribution of a Faculty wide referendum to find out what people would be interested in doing collectively outside class and act upon your recommendations.

  • I will completely reform the Education Students' Council.

    • There are many policies in our ESC's constitution that shouldn't be in a constitution but rather in Bylaws or Policy.

    • I will help facilitate the writing of a policy guiding the role of Speaker in the ESC to ensure efficient and effective meetings.

    • I will seek to reduce the ESC's bloated committee structure to a more reasonable and realistic arrangement for your benefit and the benefit of the ESC.

  • I will be incredibly accessible.  One of the main reasons I'm running for this position and committing to be the best ESC president I can be is simply because this year I'll have the time to do it.

  • I will continue to push for specialization of the Western's Faculty of Education's B Ed. program and make an effort to reflect this specialization in the marketing and identity of the ESC and the Association.

  • I will seek out local teaching and learning initiatives for the benefit of your T2P and beyond through teaching organizations like Municipolitics and civic engagement assemblies like our parent, the London Youth Advisory Council.

  • I will engage with the USC to make professional programs like our own heard.

Please read and watch the other candidates' platforms and vote!!!  If not for me, just for the sake of a truly representative ESC.

Let's make this a kick-ass year!

Vote Hill for ESC President!
